First Eucharist is a special occasion, a further step in becoming one with Christ and united with the People of God.
Since parents know their children, they are in the best position to determine when their child is ready to receive the Eucharist. The Eucharist is the sacrament that completes the process of initiation into the Christian community. When candidates share in the sacred, sacrificial meal of the Christian community for the first time, they do so as fully initiated members.
First Step Registration Process
Please complete the attached registration form if you wish your child to
prepare for the sacraments in 2020. This form needs to be handed into
the parish office together with copies of your child’s Baptism certificate.
Forms need to be handed into the office by 31 March 2020. The children
who completed their first reconciliation in 2019 do not need to complete another form.
